On July 13, 2024, British ska legends Madness brought their infectious energy to the Llangollen Pavilion in Llangollen, Clwyd, UK, as part of the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod. The concert, a highlight of their C’est La Vie Summer 2024 Tour, drew thousands of fans eager to revel in the band’s timeless hits and vibrant live performance.
The evening kicked off with a lively set from support act The Hoosiers, warming up the crowd before Madness took the stage at 9:00 PM. With doors opening at 5:00 PM, the atmosphere was electric as fans filled the iconic venue on Abbey Road. The setlist was a nostalgic journey, featuring classics like Our House, It Must Be Love, Baggy Trousers, and One Step Beyond, alongside tracks from their chart-topping 2023 album, Theatre of the Absurd Presents C’est La Vie. Madness, formed in 1976, proved their enduring appeal with a tight, high-energy performance. Frontman Suggs charmed the crowd with his playful banter, while the six-piece band delivered their ska rhythms with precision.
