Madness had their breakthrough in Sweden during the early 1980s, we quickly took to their unique combination of ska and pop and their songs like “Our House”, “Baggy Trousers” and “It Must Be Love” quickly became our most loved British backbeat songs and still are today.

The band’s lyrics are often characterized by humor, nostalgia and a sharp depiction of British everyday life. An example of this is the iconic “Our House” from 1982. The song became an international hit and cemented Madness as one of the most beloved groups of its time. 

Madness has always had a special bond with Sweden, a prioritized country to play live in. Both Way Out West and Gröna Lund have had great live visits from the legends. In 1992, they also chose to make their big comeback on the main stage of the Hultsfred Festival.

Madness continues to this day to be a huge crowd favorite, with its immortal hits and strong ability to always create a party. On June 5, the party continues and then it is once again Gröna Lund’s turn when the world’s most loved Madness takes over Gröna Lunds Big Stage.
